The transporter fleet consists of 85 vehicles supplied
by Transporter Engineering and Lohr, over 70% of the fleet are less than 3
years old and carry 11 cars per load.
The tractor units are mainly late model Volvo and DAF all painted in
striking corporate livery. Great pride is taken over the cleanliness and
overall image of the fleet and drivers.
A growing proportion of the fleet operate on a "four-on / four-off" shift
pattern where two drivers share a truck allowing each driver four days off
work in every eight. Additionally, a growing number of the fleet now operate
on a 24-hour double shift pattern. A combination of these initiatives
provide opportunities for flexible working hours as well as meeting customer
demands for out-of-hours requirements, whilst maximising the utilisation of
the fleet.
